Laboratory of "Bioresource collection of cell lines and primary tumors" ("Biocollection") was founded in 2021 on the basis of the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology with financial support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Agreement No. 075-15-2021-1060 of 28.09.2021).
Head of the laboratory - Olga Solopova, PhD.
The laboratory staff has 14 highly qualified specialists including 8 PhD scientists.
The main goal of the Biocollection is:
- formation and replenishment of the collection of different types of samples: cell lines (including three-dimensional), primary tumors, transplantable tumor strains, monoclonal antibodies to different targets;
"Biocollection" is equipped with an instrumental base for solving a wide variety of scientific and production problems:
- work with cell lines and tumor strains;
- production of monoclonal antibodies with desired specificity;
- selection and characterization of clinical samples;
- experiments on mice, including immunodeficient mice;
- development of three-dimensional cell models - tumoroids.
