Clinical samples

Every year more than 30,000 patients are treated at the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology. Most of them do not object to the use of their clinical material for research and sign the corresponding informed consent.

Work with the samples is carried out at the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health of Russia.

Most clinical samples have been analyzed by various genetic and immunochemical methods; data on significant mutations and expressed markers are available. Information on the treatment received and the response to it can also be provided.

On request, additional characterization of clinical samples is performed, including high-throughput sequencing followed by bioinformatic data analysis.

Clinical samples can be prepared for specific research tasks as cell and tissue lysates, cell suspensions, paraffin blocks and samples for genetic analysis
