How to order?
Animal species:
Human, Homo sapiens.
Origin:
from abdominal metastases of brain neuroblastoma

toddler
Tissue:
brain
Morphology:
2 types: neuroblast/fibroblast

yes
Subcutaneous growth:
yes
Molecular profile:
Susceptibility to the virus Vesicular stomatitis, Orsay (Indiana) and Glasgow (Indiana), Herpes simplex virus, Vaccinia virus, Human Coxsackie virus B3, Human poliovirus 3 Isoenzymes G6PD, B
Tumorigenicity:
yes, tumors in nude mice
Karyology:
stable male karyotype in the stemline 49. Two large marker chromosomes with submedial centromeres. Deletion in one chromosome number 1: one chromosome number 16 is missing. two additional chromosomes in group C. Sublines with 50 and 48 chromosomes differ from sublines with 49 chromosomes by the presence of an additional or missing group C chromosome, respectively. Cytogenetic information is based on the original material in the ATCC collection. Cytogenetic instability of some cell lines has been reported in the literature.
Contamination control:
not detected
Viral infection:
not performed
Species identity control:
karyological, isoenzyme (LDH and G6PD) and immunofluorescence analysis.
Application area:
toxicology, neurology, oncology
Culture method:
in vitro adhesion, in vivo (see Appendix 1).
In vitro culture conditions:
Medium – EMEM fetal bovine serum 10%. passaging procedure - cell detachment using trypsin 0.25 %: Versene 0.02 % (1:3), split ratio 1:3 -1:5 cryopreservation – growth medium 65%, 5% DMSO, 30% fetal bovine serum (see Appendix 1). They may accumulate and grow in patches.

Cryopreservation:
liquid phase and nitrogen vapor (see Appendix 1).
Viability after cryopreservation:
94% (trypan blue staining after thawing).
History:
1967 W.W. Nichols, J. Lee and S. Dwight, from an abdominal mass, . The tumor was diagnosed as neuroblastoma with rare areas of organoid differentiation.
